A Cosmetic Dentistry Guide for That Gorgeous Winning Smile
Getting a cosmetic dentistry works for yourself is not that easy especially if it is the first time that you are ever going to get one. Most probably, you don't know which cosmetic dentistry application that will suit your specific needs. If you don't know where to find the most ideal and qualified cosmetic dentist, it is important that you have a cosmetic dentistry guide in order that you don't end up with a less than qualified one and mess up your smile even more.
Getting the right cosmetic dentist will not only give you a beautiful smile but a sure value to your money. You don't want to waste the money you want to spend on your renovating your smile, so might as well read the following guides to finding the right dentist for you:
• When searching for the right cosmetic dentist, look for one who listens to your needs. A good dentist listens intently and then offers viable solutions to your specific case. He offers consultations right before taking on the procedure, so it is important that you get ready to discuss about your needs to improve your teeth and your smile. Tell the dentist exactly what it is that you want. Discuss the problem you have been encountering because you don't have a perfect smile because of the problematic teeth. Giving him all your concerns is the best start to finding that great solution with the help of your dentist.
• After discussing with the dentist, it will help a lot if you could ask him to show you before and after photos which show his works done on his previous clients. A good dentist usually stores these photos to ensure he has good evidences to show how he is capable of performing the procedures to his clients. Moreover, he would not hesitate to show these pictures once a would-be client asks him.
• Don't be shy to ask him for references. These references are of course his previous clients. A qualified or accomplished dentist will not hesitate to give you one or two consenting clients who already received benefits of the same treatment you are about to get from him.
• You can ask the cosmetic dentist too of what technology he uses or what post-graduate dentistry education he went through before practicing. It is not a bad thing as well to ask him how he updates his equipment and knowledge. In doing see, you will easily see how competitive and accomplished the person you are about to deal with.
• If the dentist is good at his practice, he should know and be prepared what treatment options are available for your specific case. He should also be ready to give you a detailed explanation of said treatments, as well as their respective price breakdown.
• Although this is a minor thing to consider, however, it is important that you find a cosmetic dentist who will match with your personality. This is important because you want a dentist whom you can well relate with. If this is the case, it will be easiest for you to tell him all your troubles accompanied by having a not-so perfect smile and teeth; thus, will be easiest for the dentist too to find that perfect cosmetic dentistry treatment for you.
Here at the Harley Street Smile Clinic we concentrate solely on cosmetic dentistry. Based in central London we offer cosmetic dentistry can transform even the ugliest of teeth into a very attractive smile in just a couple of appointments. We now how important it is to chosse the right cosmetic dentist for you so we have our own guide to help you:
How to find a good cosmetic dentist
Surprisingly there are no qualifications a dentist can get in the UK for cosmetic dentistry. It has never been a specialised field in this country. This means that and any dentist can call himself a cosmetic dentist whether he is just a general dentist or truly an expert in the field. Dentists who wish to gain this level of expertise can do so through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry - the masters of the art of cosmetic dentistry. The A.A.C.D. was founded back in the early eighties and is the most recognised specialist of the art. Dentists from all over the States and a handful from the UK attend their annual general sessions to pick up all the latest skills and techniques being used and what the best materials are. If you want to find one of the best cosmetic dentists, here are a few tips:
:) Get on the Internet if you have access. Go to several search engines and enter a search for ‘cosmetic dentist’, ‘London cosmetic dentistry’, ‘Hollywood smile’ etc. Most modern practices concerned with being at the forefront of cosmetic dentistry will have a website. The site should give you a good idea of what they have available.
:) Find out if the dentists are members of the AACD. Members of this body will have much more knowledge on the subject than non-members.
:) Find out if the practice is up to date in terms of technology and equipment. Dentistry has advanced enormously in the last 5 or 10 years so make sure the practice is keeping up.
:) A good cosmetic dentist will have a portfolio of his work. Ask the dentist to see his portfolio. This should take the form of actual photographs of his clients’ before treatment and afterwards. Any dentist who is proud of his cosmetic work will want photographic evidence of it.
:) Does the dental practice use computer imaging? This is an excellent tool from the clients’ point of view. It gives you the opportunity to see what you would look like first if you went ahead with treatment. You then have a photo of what the cosmetic work will look like. Although this could never be 100% accurate – it’s pretty close. Not only that, it gives you the opportunity to explain to the dentist exactly how you would like your teeth to look – getting you what you want. The dentist’s ability to provide you with a good imaging picture will give you a good idea of how artistic he is naturally – this should follow through with his cosmetic dentistry.
:) Ask your dentist if any of his clients would be willing to talk to you about how they felt about having their teeth done. You’ll feel much more relaxed knowing someone is happy with the cosmetic dental work carried out by the dentist you are considering to do your teeth.
Above all, make sure you are comfortable at the practice. You need to know that the dentist you are entrusting with your pearly whites is confident that the treatment he has outlined is going to be just as he says. You need to ask yourself:
:) Do you like the dentist and feel you could trust him? You may be taking a big step so make sure you have the right man for the job.
:) Do you think he’s going to be able to give you what you want? Anyone can have cosmetic dentistry done at most practices, but will the results be as anticipated?
:) Does he make you feel relaxed? If you are a nervous patient you will want to know that the dentist understands, otherwise it will end up an uncomfortable experience for you.
:) Are there any guarantees with the cosmetic dentistry? Good quality porcelain work should come with a guarantee. Ask your dentist what would happen if in 3 years time, you chipped a porcelain veneer he did for you.
:) What kind of ‘aftercare’ do you get? You should be advised on how best to look after your new smile – after all, it may have cost you a few bob, and you want to know that it will still look good years on.
Alternatively, if you want to achieve all the points mentioned above without any trouble – just check www.harleystreetsmileclinic.co.uk or email info@harleystreetsmileclinic.co.uk

What can a cosmetic dentist do?
What Are The Different Services A Costmetic Dentist Can Offer?
Unless you are destitute or on a very limited budget, there is no reason to not go to a dentist. He or she is not the bad guy. A dentist is there to ensure you have healthy teeth and gums. You may not realize it, but there are different dentists who specialize in different services. Cosmetic dentists have the goal of giving you a prettier smile, or in the case of men…a sexy grin. It is more than just a treatment to give you whiter teeth. It can be a whole range of products and services that you should at least check out.
A typical dentist in your hometown usually offers a wide arrangement of services to help you maintain your oral health. He or she can provide routine care, extractions, and even provide artificial teeth should you lose an adult tooth. They provide a basic level of cosmetic dentistry. However, cosmetic dentists focus on your smile, or rather, making your smile more attractive and they do this through a variety of methods such as teeth bleaching, zoom whitening or by replacing your old lead fillings with white fillings.
The one common factor among cosmetic dentistry is that they use a professional teeth whitening system to make your smile a few shades brighter. Over time, the color of your teeth begins to darken. The reasons can range from medicines to typical daily use and beverage consumption. Tooth bleaching is a popular way to give the face a youthful appearance by lightening the color to an acceptable range. This procedure is done in the office and can even be achieved in one visit. But the cosmetic dentist and his or her staff can provide you with other services as well.
Bridges, crowns, inlays and porcelain veneers are other services that can give you back your beautiful smile. If you have teeth that are a bit crooked, orthodontia may be needed in order to straighten the them. A cosmetic dentist may refer you to an Orthodontist or be able to provide veneers that give the appearance of an even smile. This process may also be known as Bonding. The entire Bonding process, as well as in depth procedures such as bridges or crowns, will take a few visits in order to correct the smile.
For whiter teeth and a brighter smile, cosmetic dentists are definitely worth researching. You may be lucky enough that your regular dentist can perform cosmetic procedures to give you back a smile to be envied by others. At the very least, he or she may be able to refer you to a cosmetic dentist in your area. Most cosmetic dentist professionals offer a free visit to assess the procedures you may need. It is worth scheduling a visit.

Information on Cosmetic Dentistry Porcelain Veneers
Dec. 14th, 2008 at 3:18 PM
Porcelain veneers are extremely thin casings of ceramic that are bonded to the front of the patients' tooth to create a new smile. Porcelain veneers are placed over the front of teeth that appear too small or large, slightly discolored, or simply are not cosmetically pleasing to the patient. For many patients, teeth may have chipped, become discolored, or are slightly crooked. For the majority of these patients, porcelain veneers can prove to be the perfect solution.
When placing porcelain veneers, we pay close attention to the patients surrounding teeth and design each veneer to complement the overall smile. The result is a beautiful, attractive new smile.
If cared for properly, your veneers will last you a long time. The dentist ensures that your new veneers are constructed of the most durable porcelain materials available.
Procedure
The procedure begins with the preparation of the tooth. This entails removing the discolored or unsightly portion of the tooth and meticulously shaping the tooth in preparation for the new veneer. Once the dentist has shaped the tooth, they will take an impression. This impression will be sent to the lab where your new restoration will be crafted. While the new veneers are created, the dentist will provide you with a temporary restoration. Temporary restorations will resemble your natural teeth so that you can continue with your daily life without worrying about a missing or incompatible tooth.
During your second visit to the office, the dentist will proceed with the placement of your final restoration. The veneers will be fitted comfortably into the mouth. We will make every effort to ensure that the new tooth feels exactly like one of your natural teeth. The final step in the process will be to bond the new porcelain veneers into your mouth, leaving you with a beautifully restored smile.
Crowns
As we get a little older, our teeth begin to change and are prone to decay. There are many possible reasons for this change in your smile. These reasons can include bruxism (teeth grinding), general decay, cracked fillings, root canals, and many others. If your tooth is beyond repair with a filling material, we may recommend that the best viable option to save the tooth is a full crown. The reasons for this type of restoration in a badly damaged tooth are durability, cosmetic appearance, and overall support of the chewing function.
Types of Crowns
If the dentist decides that you are in need of a full crown, there are a few different options for the repair of your tooth. These options include a full porcelain crown, a porcelain fused to metal or gold crown, or a full gold crown. The dentist will make the determination as to which of these options is the most appropriate for your situation based on your health, state of your tooth, as well as your personal goals. You can be comfortable in knowing that your new tooth will be virtually unnoticeable and flawlessly complement the rest of your smile.
Procedure
Once you have decided to move forward with a full crown restoration, we will set aside 2-3 appointments to restore your tooth. Although the majority of crowns are completed in two visits, there is sometimes a need for a third visit to ensure a proper fit. If CEREC is being utilized for your restoration, only one appointment is necessary.
The procedure begins with the removal of all decay in the tooth. Once we have removed the decay, we will take an impression of the tooth. This impression will be sent to our lab where your new restoration will be crafted. While this new tooth is created, we will provide you with a temporary restoration. The temporary restorations will resemble your natural teeth so that you can continue with your daily life without worrying about a missing or incompatible tooth.
During your second visit to the office, the dentist will proceed with the placement of your final restoration. This crown will be fitted comfortably into the mouth. They will make every effort to ensure that the new tooth feels exactly like one of your natural teeth. The final step in the process is to cement the crown into your mouth, leaving you with a beautifully restored smile.

Porcelain Bridges
Dec. 14th, 2008 at 2:56 PM
A bridge is one of the few options that you have when deciding how to deal with a missing tooth or teeth. The replacement of these missing teeth is necessary in order to maintain the proper mouth functions. Tooth loss can affect the way you eat, speak, and the alignment of other teeth in your mouth.
Types of Bridges
A bridge, by definition, is a link or connection between two permanent structures. A dental bridge is very similar in that it attaches the restorative teeth (bridge) to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. This dental bridge acts as your new teeth, closing the gap and restoring your smile. Bridges are often constructed of gold or metal foundations with porcelain fused to the foundation. This ensures that the bridge will support the normal functions of the mouth.
Bridges can either be fixed or removable. A fixed bridge is bonded to the natural teeth, or abutments, and can not be removed by the patient. A removable bridge is often attached by metal and can be removed for cleaning purposes. Your dentist will determine which of these options is more appropriate for your specific situation.
Procedure
The procedure begins with preparation of the natural teeth, or abutments. We will shape the abutment teeth so that the ends of the bridge will fit comfortably on each one. The next step is to take an impression of the area. This impression will be sent to our lab where your new restoration will be crafted. While this new tooth is created, we will provide you with a temporary restoration. Temporary restorations will resemble your natural teeth so that you can continue with your daily life without worrying about a missing or unattractive tooth.

Los Angeles Dentist offers unique procedure for people who are unhappy with their gummy smilesA recent survey by the American Academy of Periodontology found that 1 in 4 people felt that their smiles’ were too gummy. Dr. Farnoosh, a Beverly Hills periodontist, offers an innovative solution.
Beverly Hills, California - December 05, 2008 – A smile is one of the first facial characteristics a person notices. For those with imperfect or abnormal smiles, it can be an agonizing ordeal and is avoided at all costs. However, now there are new procedures in place to give everyone their perfect smile. Dr. Farnoosh has brought new hope for those people concerned about their “gummy smile”.The results of a recent consumer survey conducted by the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) revealed that almost one out of four individuals that participated in the study felt that their smile revealed too much of their gums or that their teeth appeared longer than they should. These startling results show that nearly ¼ of the population may not be confident about the appearance of their smile. To hide their “gummy smile”, many people who suffer from this condition have compensated by perfecting the art of smiling with closed lips. Dr. Alex Farnoosh, a Beverly Hills periodontist offers an innovative solution. For people who feel their smile is gummy or shows too much of their teeth, a revolutionary procedure has been developed by a Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist (http://www.thetotalsmile.com/doctor.cfm) to alleviate this problem. This condition, called a gummy smile, (http://www.thetotalsmile.com/gums/gummy-smile-treatment.cfm) occurs when the lip sits unnaturally high on the gum line, creating a smile exhibiting excess gums. This is often due to either the upper lip being too short or a hypermobile lip. The rather harsh, traditional treatments of the past for this condition have included cutting and repositioning part of the upper jaw or crown lengthening. Removing part of the upper jaw is not only expensive, but also very painful and risky. Many dentists claim that crown lengthening, which involves cutting back, and re-sculpting the gum line, will correct any gummy smile. Unfortunately, crown lengthening alone either via traditional surgical blade or via laser is often insufficient. While crown lengthening may be effective in diminishing some gummy smiles, it can often create teeth that appear too long producing a “horse-like” appearance. As an alternative, one of the most effective and least invasive methods that exist to improve a gummy smile is lip lowering. This procedure developed by Dr. Farnoosh, lowers the lip line that covers the gum thereby minimizing the gummy smile and producing a more attractive appearance. (http://www.thetotalsmile.com/photo-gallery/results.cfm?Category=4) In addition, this procedure can be used in conjunction with crown lengthening, to reshape the gumline around short teeth by removing excess gum. In some cases, the placement of veneers or crowns may also be needed. By combining these techniques in the right manner Dr. Farnoosh brings a “perfect smile” within the reach of his patients. “The AAP survey shows that there is a large percentage of the population who could benefit from these procedures and may not be aware that they exist,” said Dr. Farnoosh. “In the past, the treatment for a “gummy smile” was painful, risky and expensive. My method is safer, less invasive, less costly and the results we have seen over the past 10 years are just outstanding.”
The Harley Street Smile Clinic offer gum sculpting treatments to improve the appearance of 'gummy smiles'. Depending on the amount of excess gum showing will depend on the type of treatment that is carried out. Simple laser gum sculpting can be carried out quickly easily where there is only a mm or so of excess gum showing, and with very little down time. For those patients with a lot of excess gum, bone contouring will be necessary to remove more than 2mm of gum. Check out the results of our gum sculpting treatments at the following link:

Factors to Consider About Cosmetic Dentistryby Robert MelkonyanSend Feedback to Robert MelkonyanMore Details about here.
We can't really measure how important it is for people to wear a beautiful smile but we know how difficult life can be without it. How do we say that a smile is beautiful anyway? When we smile we are flashing our teeth so it's more than just arching our lips but more on showing how perfectly aligned our teeth are. Unfortunately for some people, they can't say they have beautiful smile because something is wrong with their teeth. It could be that one or two are missing. It could also be that the distance or alignment is not perfect.
Recent developments in dental technology have given a chance for people to wear perfect smile again. This is done through various dental techniques that would restore or even improve the appearance of their teeth. But before rushing to the dentist to get a cosmetic surgery, it would be good to check out first some considerations that would help one decide whether it would be good to push through with the dental restoration or simpler operation can do equally well.
Necessity Is it really necessary to change the appearance of teeth? Consulting a dentist to diagnose dental condition will either approve or disprove the need for a surgery or any dental procedure. Some people have a tendency to jump the gun before knowing the consequence.
Type of Procedure There many different procedures that a cosmetic dentist will perform to restore a person's smile. It would be best to consult a specialist who knows which procedure is best applied to a patient's dental problem.
Cost of the Procedure It should be noted that each procedure has different costs and one procedure to another can have a large difference. It may be possible to opt for the lesser cost but with almost similar result.
Length of effect Cosmetic procedure is not permanent. No matter how durable the materials used are, there will be a time when it will wear out. Older patients will have lesser problem about the durability of the material used for their dental restoration. Younger, however, may have to undergo a dental procedure more than once because the material will eventually wear out at least once during their lifetime.
Competency of the dentist The ability of the cosmetic dentist who will perform the operation is very important. Some dentists are better than the others. The aptitude of the person who will perform the dental procedure would determine the success of the operation more than the quality of the materials used. It is therefore very good to get some opinions about the dentists before deciding on who will be entrusted to perform the dental process.
The result of cosmetic dentistry is evaluated not only by the appearance of the teeth or how beautiful the smile is. There are many factors to consider that are not manifested in the way a person smiles after the operation. A person may be satisfied at what he would see after undergoing a dental makeover but will be surprised that a better procedure could do a lot more.

Factors to Consider About Cosmetic Dentistry
The Harley Street Smile Clinic believe it s very difficult to find a good cosmetic dentist. We have put together some tips to help you find the right dentist for you:
Get on the Internet if you have access.
Find out if the dentists are members of the AACD. Members of this body will have much more knowledge on the subject than non-members.
Find out if the practice is up to date in terms of technology and equipment. Dentistry has advanced enormously in the last 5 or 10 years so make sure the practice is keeping up.
A good cosmetic dentist will have a portfolio of his work. Ask the dentist to see his portfolio. This should take the form of actual photographs of his clients’ before treatment and afterwards. Any dentist who is proud of his cosmetic work will want photographic evidence of it.
Does the dental practice use computer imaging? This is an excellent tool from the clients’ point of view. It gives you the opportunity to see what you would look like first if you went ahead with treatment. You then have a photo of what the cosmetic work will look like. Although this could never be 100% accurate – it’s pretty close. Not only that, it gives you the opportunity to explain to the dentist exactly how you would like your teeth to look – getting you what you want. The dentist’s ability to provide you with a good imaging picture will give you a good idea of how artistic he is naturally – this should follow through with his cosmetic dentistry.
Ask your dentist if any of his clients would be willing to talk to you about how they felt about having their teeth done.
Do you like the dentist and feel you could trust him? You may be taking a big step so make sure you have the right man for the job.
Do you think he’s going to be able to give you what you want? Anyone can have cosmetic dentistry done at most practices, but will the results be as anticipated?
Does he make you feel relaxed? If you are a nervous patient you will want to know that the dentist understands, otherwise it will end up an uncomfortable experience for you.
Are there any guarantees with the cosmetic dentistry? Good quality porcelain work should come with a guarantee. Ask your dentist what would happen if in 3 years time, you chipped a porcelain veneer he did for you.
What kind of ‘aftercare’ do you get? You should be advised on how best to look after your new smile – after all, it may have cost you a few bob, and you want to know that it will still look good years on.
Alternatively, if you want to achieve all the points mentioned above without any trouble – just check www.harleystreetsmileclinic.co.uk or email info@harleystreetsmileclinic.co.uk

By Dr. Pavandeep Khaira on December 7, 2008
The Cerec machine provides outstanding, natural looking crowns and veneers in a single visit. When appropriate, we can use the Cerec to provide you with a porcelain restoration in one visit.
The benefits for our patients include only one trip to see us, so less time commitment is required from yourself. Also no temporary crowns to fall off, tooth is fully restored with a tooth coloured restoration with only one round of anaesthesia!
We have been using this technology for some time now and our patients love the convenience the Cerec provides.
The Cerec machine provides an excellent option for those people looking to replace their metal amalgam fillings.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic cosmetic dentist Dr Maurice Johannes believes the cerec machine provides great results for replacing metal fillings but would rather have hand made restorations when it comes to veneers. We have revolutionised the speed in which porcelain veneers can be made by hand so it is just as easy to get veneers made on the same day as it is to have them made by machine. We provide a one day smile makeover service for all of those will little time on their hands.

Cosmetic Dentistry can boost confidence
December 8th, 2008
Cosmetic Dentistry can Boost Confidence, Business and Self Esteem.
Consider this: Your smile, or lack thereof, is one of the first things that many notice about you.
If your smile is gorgeous, people will ascribe many positive traits to you — ie, friendly, outgoing, smart, beautiful – and the list goes on. Smart, attractive people make money more, have more friends and are in general more successful than those who don’t possess these traits.
Following are four ways cosmetic dentistry can give you that gorgeous smile, and perhaps get you on the golden road to riches.
3 Common Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures that Improve Your Smile Tremendously
Teeth Whitening: Teeth whitening and bleaching have been around for a while. Since it was first introduced, it has become a favorite cosmetic dentistry procedure for movie stars and common, everyday folk alike.
Practically everything you put in your mouth on a daily basis impacts the color of your teeth. Coffee, wine, tea, smoking, soft drinks and yes, even age, all dull the luster of your smile’s whiteness.
Professional laser teeth whitening and bleaching is perhaps the most common cosmetic dentistry procedure because we all eat, drink and age. This procedure is painless, affordable and can be completed quickly. The result in your smile will speak for itself.
Replacing Fillings: Many who have fillings have silver or even gold fillings, for they weren’t always white. Years ago, dentists used meta-based products for fillings, which accounts for the color.
And, when you smile, these can be readily evident, taking away from what a perfectly beautiful smile should be. Cosmetic dentistry can fix this. By simply replacing your old, metallic fillings with newer ones that are tooth-colored, no one will ever know you have fillings!
Veneers: Veneers are a cosmetic dentistry procedure that can fix such unattractive problems as chipped teeth, or gaps between teeth. They look as natural as your teeth, and last for years.
Veneers can subtract years from your smile, making you appear more youthful. Your friends may not immediately know what you did, but they’ll know that you did something because, “You look great!”]And, with cosmetic dentistry, you don’t have to go “under the knife” or spend thousands to accomplish it.

* Tooth whitening or bleaching - Many whitening options exist to help a patient achieve a brighter, whiter smile. Depending on the patient's needs and dental health history, a dentist can suggest a procedure in the office or dispense a system that can be used at home. It is important to consult a dentist before starting any tooth whitening procedure.
* Bonding -Bonding improves the appearance of chipped, broken or cracked teeth by applying tooth-colored materials to the tooth's surface.
* Veneers - Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are designed to cover the front side of teeth that are chipped or worn, permanently stained, poorly shaped or slightly crooked.
* Braces - Braces or other orthodontic appliances can correct crooked or crowded teeth or teeth that do not align properly.
* Crowns - Crowns can help strengthen teeth and improve outward appearance by acting as a cover and adding additional support for a weak tooth, helping restore a tooth that is already broken or covering a dental implant or a tooth that is stained or misshaped.
* Bridges - A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth crafted from a variety of materials such as gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials. A fixed bridge contains artificial teeth that are attached directly to the jaw or under the gum tissue and can only be removed by a dentist. If you are fitted with a removable bridge, it can be removed and cleaned at home.
* Dental implants - Implants can replace missing teeth with artificial teeth to help achieve a more natural looking smile. Since surgery is required, patients must be in good oral and overall health, have healthy gums and sufficient bone structure to support the implant and be dedicated to maintaining optimal dental hygiene habits.
* Dentures - Dentures are another option for replacing missing teeth when all or a majority of the patient's natural teeth are missing.
While there are many corrective and cosmetic options available, it is important to maintain good oral health by brushing and flossing daily, eating a well-balanced, nutritious diet and visiting the dentist every six months for regular checkups and professional cleaning.

And the influence that veneers can have on a person’s self esteem has been found to be quite effective. Many people are so concerned with the look of their smile that it affects the way they behave. Some people naturally put their hand over their mouth in order to hide the unsightly look of their smile.
Other people actually find that once that they have new veneers they are more willing to socialize, less likely to avoid confrontations with other people. Some people have found that they actually would be homebodies to keep away from other people, missing parties, meetings and other networking opportunities.

Cosmetic Dentistry
There is a new trend of looking good which is is made handy with the development of technology. This trend involves teeth-whitening, smile makeover and doing improvements of person’s smile and teeth! The good results of cosmetic dentistry counts on the expertise of the cosmetic dentist you prefer.
Your requirement of cosmetic dentistry does not arise as something mandatory as general dentistry which helps certain disease to take care of. The majority prefer cosmetic in order to improve upon their smile and look!
There are numerous treatment ways are developed depending upon the condition of the patient’s expectations. For example you are willing to go for smile makeover, which is the hottest these days, a dentist may get hold of lasers to make the procedure more comfortable and also can lessen recovery time also.
The primary advantage of cosmetic dentistry is you can get dental fillings and restorative advantages for your decayed teeth. And therefore, many wish to have their older fillings replaced with newer ones and and also desire to have tooth-colored fillings in order to enhance their oral look.
Different cosmetic dentistry processes are available for better treatment service which normally consists of inlays or onlays dental fillings, bridges and dentures composite bonding, dental veneers, teeth whitening dental implants, smile makeovers etc..
Since there are many dentists offer cosmetic dentistry procedures, it becomes little-bit confusing what to select. If you have regularly made dental check-ups, you will have fair ideas regarding your present condition of your dental health. Plan accordingly for achieving your smile and oral health.
Cosmetic dentistry procedures are of immense value for those who are dissatisfied with their look and smile. Hence, it is important to find and consult a cosmetic dentist who can give you full satisfaction for what you are looking forward to have.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic perform smile makeovers every day. An average smile makeover usually consists of 10 porcelain veneers and then a whitening treatment on the rest of the teeth so that the whole smile gets a lift without having to veneer every tooth. A smile makeover can drastically improve the appearance of your teeth and face. Once the smile has been corrected it can often light up your face and take years off you - especially if your teeth have an aged appearance - yellow teeth, worn down teeth, broken teeth, and especially when the natural curve to the smile line has been lost due to wear. A smile makeover can be carried out in a matter of hours here at The Harley Street Smile Clinc. Our principal cosmetic dentist Dr Maurice Johannes has revolutionised the one day smile makeover made up of hand crafted bespoke porcelain veneers. Deciding Which Cosmetic Dentistry Procedure You Really Need
December 4th, 2008 by admin
Deciding on a cosmetic dentist is hard enough, but deciding on which Cosmetic dentistry in Budapest to choose is that much harder. If you are a local there, or you are deciding to go have your dental work done there, you will still need to follow your guideline when choosing the right one to visit. You will have to determine which one takes your insurance or has payment plan options, which is the most experienced and reputable for the procedure you are needing, and which office makes you feel the most comfortable in general. There are so many things to consider that you should allow plenty of time for your research before choosing.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic believe you should be very cautious about deciding to get your cosmetic dentistry abroad. What if the cosmetic dentistry provided isn't up to the standard you expected? Can you easily get back there to get it rectified? If you have any ongoing problems with the cosmetic dentistry you received are you able to fly back to these countries easily? The added expense of flights, hotels, transfers etc usually outweighs the final cost in the long run. For peace of mind about your teeth it's better to choose a dentist not too far from home so that if you do experiece any problems with your cosmetic dentistry it can be quickly and easily remedied.

porcelain crowns vs porcelain veneers
Don’t let your dentist damage your teeth with crowns.
A report in the British Dental Journal claimed that the numbers of porcelain veneers provided by dentists in the England and Wales is falling, and that practitioners prefer more destructive techniques including full crowns for the management of unattractive teeth. This is surprising news when one looks at the huge increase in cosmetic dentistry in the same time frame. Porcelain veneers are the ultimate in cosmetic dental treatment so why are dentists prescribing them less?
The report by Dr Paul Bruton of the University Dental Hospital of Manchester admits that poor porcelain veneer techniques have been causing unpredictable results. It goes on to suggest that dentists, having been put off by a lack of success with veneers are choosing to use porcelain crowns instead. Such a trend is cause for concern given crowns are less preservative of tooth tissue and are more likely to cause gum problems.
Dr Maurice Johannes of The Harley Street Smile Clinic says,” We prefer porcelain veneers because they look so natural and they cause little damage to tooth structure. Successful treatments require great care but the benefits to the patient is worth the extra effort. The techniques and laser technology used have become so advanced now that these efforts are largely in the preparation and our patients find the whole process more comfortable and relaxed than ever.”
What’s the difference between a crown and a porcelain veneer?
A veneer is a new front surface for a tooth made from porcelain. A thin layer is trimmed from the tooth first to make space for the veneer. They can be used to change the shape and colour of a tooth, to align crowding and close gaps.
A crown can be used for most of the same purposes but it is much more destructive of a tooth. It involves removing a much greater thickness from right around the tooth. Crowns often contain metal, which makes them look less realistic, and may result in a black line being visible at the gum level. Crowns should be used when a tooth is already so damaged it cannot accept a veneer.
How to find a good cosmetic dentist.
¨Make sure he/she is experienced - find out how many veneers they provide a month.
¨Make sure he/she is up to date. Not just being a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry but also regularly attending their scientific sessions is a good indication
¨Make sure a computer-imaging picture is provided. It is essential to agree the desired changes in advance from a visual image.
¨Insist on seeing recent portfolio pictures of his/her own work. A good cosmetic dentist will photograph every case.
¨It is also important they offer a guarantee and that you trust them to sort out any problem should one arise.

Cosmetic Dentistry - the Truth!
Cosmetic Dentistry – The Truth!
The last five years has seen a rapid increase in the demand for cosmetic dentistry in the UK. Many more dental practices are offering this service. There have also been a number of celebrities who have improved their smiles with porcelain veneers, gum sculpting and whitening, which has kept cosmetic dentistry a hot topic in the press. Cosmetic dentistry can offer incredible smile transformations, which can have life-changing effects, but Dr Maurice Johannes, the principal of leading cosmetic dental practice, The Harley Street Smile Clinic, offers a word of caution. ‘If things were to go wrong, it’s not like getting a bad haircut. Teeth don’t just grow back, so the highest possible standards must be maintained’.
There is no formal qualification in cosmetic dentistry as a specialist field of dentistry in the UK.
Consumers need to be protected. The British Dental Association help line suggests asking your general dentist about cosmetic dental treatments. But as any dentist can offer cosmetic dentistry without a specialised qualification it’s important the public knows what to look for.
· Experience. As there is no formal qualification to show expertise in the field of cosmetic dentistry it is vital that the dentist has been practising this type of dentistry for many years and has fitted thousands of veneers.
· Sustaining Membership to the AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) This is the worlds leading body dedicated to the advancement of cosmetic dentistry.
· Computer imaging. Protect yourself by agreeing the desired changes in advance with computer imaging, a 3D model or preferably both.
· Before and after photos. Ask to see before and after photos of previous patients to confirm the actual dentistry meets or exceeds the aesthetics of the imaging picture or model.
· Guarantee. Make sure you are happy with arrangements for rectifying problems should they occur. A guarantee of one or two years is standard, but some offer longer guarantees.
· Recommendation. As a final reassurance it is important to speak to others who have had similar work carried out, or at least read their written comments.
Although UK dentistry is thought to be some way behind the US, it is not all doom and gloom. Dr Maurice Johannes is optimistic about widespread improvements in cosmetic dentistry in the UK.
Dr Johannes has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) for 15 years and has found the depth of knowledge and ethical standards to be second to none. He is keen that UK dentists benefit from the excellent speakers he has met in the US at the AACD.
More and more UK dentists are taking cosmetic dentistry seriously. Since April 2002 dentists are legally required to take a certain number of hours continuing professional development each year, so many more dentists are brushing up their skills. To their credit, Independent Seminars organised the first World Aesthetic Congress, a 3-day conference with numerous lecturers from around the world, which is held in London every year.
Independent seminars also offer numerous courses in cosmetic dentistry year round. They report an increase of 1200% in seminars provided in the last 10 years. Over 50% of these seminars are cosmetically orientated. 20% of UK dentists now attend at least one Independent Seminar a year.
Whilst this is highly encouraging it still means 80% of UK dentists do not regularly attend these courses. Make sure the dentist you wish to carry out cosmetic dental treatment can adequately demonstrate specific training attendance, up-to-date techniques and experience.
Cosmetic dentistry can change the smile you hide into the smile of your dreams and can be a life changing experience. Just make sure you do a little research to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic’s aim is to provide cosmetic dentistry to the highest technical and artistic standards in a reassuring and stress-free environment.

Cosmetic Dentistry - not just for the rich and famous
Many people think that cosmetic dentistry is a luxury reserved for the rich and famous, but that is no longer true. Nowadays, highly skilled and talented cosmetic dentists are able to rejuvenate and beautify people’s mouths and teeth and give them the Hollywood smile they have dreamed about.
While tooth whitening has been the most popular cosmetic dentistry procedure for many, many years, porcelain veneers are gaining popularity, and more and more dental patients are seeking this treatment to whiten, brighten, and straighten their not-so-pearly whites.
What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers, also known as dental veneers, are a cosmetic dental process very similar to dental bonding. Veneers are wafer-thin sheets of porcelain that are placed on teeth to correct the following problems:
• Discolored teeth• Worn teeth• Chipped teeth• Misaligned teeth
The sheer sheets of porcelain are bonded to the tooth and provide a permanent improvement to the appearance of the tooth.
What is the process of applying porcelain veneers like?
The process of applying porcelain veneers to a tooth is rather quick and painless. First, an impression of your teeth is made by the cosmetic dentist. From this impression, your veneers will be molded. Your teeth are prepared by removing a thin layer of enamel from the surface of your tooth. Then, temporary veneers are placed while we wait for your permanent veneers to be fabricated. The temporary veneers are made of plastic. The temporary veneers will protect your teeth, which the permanent is being made.
At the next appointment, your cosmetic dentist will remove your temporaries and bond the permanent porcelain to your teeth. Though the veneers are wafer-thin, they are super strong and resist staining, unlike other dental bonding materials. Since porcelain has a glass-like quality, your teeth will have a natural luster, much nicer than other bonding resins that are opaque.
If you live in the London area come and visit The Harley Street Smile clinic to see what porcelian veneers can do for you. You too can have the celebrity smile - it's not just for the rich and famous any more. Finance options are available to pay for your cosmetic dentistry in installments allowing you to spread the cost of the treatment.

Smile on your wedding day
For most people, your wedding is one of the most important days in your life. There are only a few occasions in life with memories that last longer than the bride and groom 's memories of their wedding day. While a bride 's dress, makeup, hair, and skin play a role in creating a perfect, graceful, and elegant presentation for the day, a stained or missing tooth can disrupt this beautiful impression.
When immortalized in wedding pictures, imperfections in a bride or groom 's smile will literally last for a lifetime. Fortunately, new techniques available from a cosmetic dentist can improve your smile fast. This article details some of the techniques used to get you picture perfect for your big day.
Dental Cleaning
Many times, a basic cleaning is the perfect solution to touch-up minor imperfections. Plaque builds up with the daily wear and tear sustained by our teeth, causing tooth decay to set in. Visiting your dentist for a cleaning will guarantee a plaque-free smile and can also help get rid of bad breath.
Teeth Whitening
With age, teeth become naturally discolored and stained, especially if you're a coffee or tea drinker because this causes stains to appear quicker. In color photographs, stains can stand out and attract negative attention. Even in black and white photographs, imperfections and discolor can appear stark in contrast to the bride 's beautiful white wedding dress. There are few dental procedures that can deliver as dazzling a smile as tooth whitening can.
Porcelain Veneers
By both nature and accident, teeth can become discolored, chipped, or oddly shaped. While people may not normally notice, these problems can stand out on your wedding day. The bride is the center of attention during the ceremony and during the reception. A chipped tooth, gaps between teeth, and other dental problems are easily noticed, especially when the bride looks perfect in every other way. Porcelain veneers can quickly solve these problems in as little as two visits to your cosmetic dentist. This is a permanent solution that will eliminate inconsistencies and dramatically improve the look of your smile.
Crowns And Bridges
When a porcelain veneer just won't do the job, your dentist may recommend a crown or bridge. The placing of these is a little more complicated than placing a porcelain veneer and it requires more time, so make sure you allow plenty of time to complete these treatments that will improve your missing or cracked tooth.
Braces
Especially with tooth overcrowding, teeth can move or spread out over time. Jaw misalignment can cause crooked teeth and spacing issues. A cosmetic dentist can resolve these problems by placing braces on your teeth. Today, clear and tooth colored braces are available in addition to the traditional silver metal braces. However, keep in mind that braces take time to work, several months to several years depending on the severity of the misalignment.
Looking Perfect For Your Wedding Day
You can do plenty to repair any imperfections in your smile before your big day. Some problems, like discoloring and stains are easy and quick for your dentist to fix. Porcelain veneers can repair small chips and malformed teeth. Crowns and bridges can correct more severe flaws. Braces take time, but they can give you a gorgeous smile. Ask your Detroit cosmetic dentist, or anywhere, about the options available that can help you have the smile of your dreams on your most special of days.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic offer all the services mentioned above which will ensure any bride has a killer smile on her wedding day.We have now revolutionised the one day smile makeover using porcelain veneers hand crafted by our master technician. In just 8 hours you can have the smile of your dreams. For more informaiton visit our website or call 020 7193 3448

Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain Crowns - Cosmetic Dentistry
You can erase years of wear and tear with porcelain crowns. Sometimes called “caps,” porcelain crowns are customized for you, covering broken, cracked or discolored teeth. Crowns are a durable, strong, long lasting method of enhancing both the look and functionality of your smile. After some preparation of the tooth or teeth that will receive the crown, your cosmetic dentist will position a custom milled, lifelike porcelain crown over your damaged tooth, restoring and rejuvenating your oral health.

No longer need there be a grey line around the gum. Our porcelain crowns look like natural teeth.
Porcelain veneers to help with that makeover

The Harley Street Smile Clinic prefer to use porcelain veneers rather than crowns in most cases. Obviously if crowns are already in place, they would need to be replaced with crowns, or if the teeth are severely broken down, crowns will also be needed, but where the teeth are just discoloured or crooked or gappy then pocelain veneers will provide the best cosmetic result as well as being a more conservative way of restoring the teeth.
Porcelain Veneers - Fast track to a perfect smile
Porcelain Veneers
It seems everybody today wants whiter than white teeth. All the celebrities have them, and film stars seem to have had them forever. Most people rely on a quarterly painless cleaning by their dental hygienist and the rest of the time they use extra whitening toothpaste. Those who are really keen for the brightest teeth go for cosmetic dentistry. This is something that is particularly popular in places like Beverly Hills, and cosmetic dentistry is becoming big business.
Yet another way that people achieve extraordinarily white teeth is through the use of dental veneer. People with money to spare will often do this if their teeth are badly stained or discolored. Small strips made from either porcelain or plastic are made to cover your teeth and makes them look even whiter than God intended. These covers are known as dental veneers.
Top-notch cosmetic dentists are already on the bandwagon and if you search on the net you will find Beverly Hills veneers, Los Angeles veneers or Orange County cosmetic dentists. These dentists and dental technicians offer everything from the smallest strips to correct slight imperfections, to full dental veneers caps for the whitest teeth ever.
Porcelain veneers are quite expensive and these are the kind most often found in celebrity dental clinics. They can cost thousands of dollars but your teeth will retain their whiteness for ten to fifteen years. It takes a number of appointments with a cosmetic dentist to have these fitted because they are molded to fit over your teeth.
The other type of porcelain dental veneers that you can get are called composite or direct veneers, but even these can cost several hundred dollars a tooth. Each veneer is applied separately and directly to the tooth so that this form of veneer can be done at one single appointment.
If you can afford them, veneers will cover discolored or badly stained teeth and the effects will last for years. A lot depends on how concerned you are about the whiteness of your teeth and how much money you have to spend.
At the moment veneers would be out of reach of most people’s budgets so it looks as though the sales of extra whitening toothpaste will not suffer too much.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic beleive porcelain veneers or dental veneers are the perfect cosmetic dentistry solution for most people. If you want to have a perfect smile, veneers can change the appearance of your teeth dramatically in such a short space of time. Just 2-3 appointments over a 2 week period can have you smiling like you've never smiled before. there is no longer a need to have braces in order to correct your smile. Porcelain veneers offer instant solutions to age old dental problems.

So you've decided on porcelain veneers
So You’ve Decided on Porcelain Veneers
Nov. 26th, 2008 at 5:01 PM
You’re definitely not alone. Porcelain veneers are one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry procedures, and with good reason. Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth-colored porcelain, which are custom made to beautifully reshape your teeth and smile. They are made by a professional in a lab, according to your dentist’s specifications, and bonded to the front of your teeth. porcelain veneers are often an ideal alternative to crowns and other dental treatments, because they are durable, long-lasting, and cosmetically give you a more attractive smile.
Porcelain veneers are ideal for fixing crooked, misshapen, worn, or discolored teeth. They can also fix teeth that are too small, too large, or fill unwanted gaps and spaces. So now you’ve made the decision, you may be a candidate for receiving porcelain veneers. But you may still have questions about what the exact process is. It’s actually quite simple.
Getting porcelain veneers usually requires two visits to your cosmetic dentist, to complete the process. During the first visit, your teeth’s surfaces are lightly buffed and shaped, in order to prepare them for receiving the veneer. A mold is taken of the teeth, and a shade will be chosen by you and your dentist at this time. According to the impressions, the veneers will be custom made in a lab, and you may be fitted with temporary veneers while you wait for the permanent ones to be made.
During the second visit, your teeth will be cleansed with a special liquid that prepares your teeth for the bonding process. The porcelain shells are then placed on the fronts of your teeth with bonding cement, and bond is set using a special light beam. This procedure is generally painless, and requires little to no anesthesia. That is why veneers offer a great way to improve your smile without lengthy and invasive dental procedures.
With porcelain veneers, as with most dental restorations, the results are durable but not permanent. They may need replacement someday, especially if not properly cared for according to the special care instructions your dentist gives you. In order to extend the life of your veneers it is important to keep up with brushing, flossing, and regular visits to your dentist.

Do looks matter in your personal life?
What Impact is a Beautiful Smile?
Do beautiful people make more money? Do they get the best jobs? Do they get job advancement rapidly? Do they have a more satisfying personal life? The answer to all of these things is probably YES! What is the very first thing that you notice about a person? It is their physical beauty and personal appearance that is first noticed—everything else is secondary to that. I once read that, “Beauty in a person is like rareness in a coin or stamp—it can conceal a number of minor defects”. As a Seattle Cosmetic Dentist, my goal is to give people more beautiful smiles that will allow them to compete and have success in all areas of their lives. A variety of cosmetic dentistry techniques can be used to accomplish a more beautiful smile.
Do beautiful people make more money?
Good looks can have a real impact on a worker’s bank accounts according to research published in the Journal of Labor Economics. Attractive people earn about 5 percent more in hourly pay than their average-looking coworkers and 14 percent more per hour the plain-looking workers. Additionally, plain-looking workers may also receive fewer promotions than those given to their better-looking contemporaries. These handsome men and beautiful women are not always the smartest or sharpest business-minded people. They simply are genetically blessed with attractive appearances and they know how to accent their looks. Most people, even with good looks, must display themselves attractively also.
Do good-looking people get the better jobs?
If attractive people earn more in hourly pay than both their average-looking coworkers and their plain-looking coworkers, then the obvious corollary to that statement would be that they in fact do get better jobs. In many cases, they probably do get the best jobs available—at least the best ones that their supervisors don’t already have.
Do attractive people get job advancement more rapidly?
Actually, according to the study in the Journal of Labor Economics, plain-looking workers receive fewer promotions than the number of promotions given to their better-looking contemporaries. These are not always the smartest or sharpest business-minded people. They simply are genetically blessed with attractive appearances and they know how to accent their looks. However, there are few genetically blessed women and men that could wear a burlap bag and dirty shorts to work and still be promoted if they are able to combine their goods looks with intelligence and a good personality.
Are good-looking people more talented?
Good-looking people may or may not be more talented than ordinary looking people, but if talent and ability are equal, the better appearing people probably will out perform the ordinary looking people. It remains uncertain, as to whether or not the most handsome people actually translate these good looks into better or more production. What does appear true is the perception of how well these attractive people perform their jobs. According to a University of Texas research study, students consistently gave the best-looking professors higher evaluations as teachers than the evaluations given to less attractive instructors and teachers.
If good looks can get you through the front door for an interview, they may not necessarily get you a lot farther. To proceed up the ladder of success, an attractive person also must be intelligent, competent, and have good interpersonal skills. Looks alone may help you get dates and therefore make your personal life more enjoyable. A person can be breathtakingly beautiful, but destroy the illusion very quickly if they seem superior, conceited, or are just an all around “jerk”. Generally speaking, discrimination based on looks is not treated the same as discrimination based on religion, ethnicity, disability, or age. In most jurisdictions, it is not illegal to discriminate against a person based on their “looks”.
How to become a more beautiful person!
To make sure that you take advantage of your looks, there are several things that you can do. In addition to eating properly, resting, and exercising, specific areas of your face can be targeted for a makeover. According to “New Beauty” Magazine, you can make yourself more beautiful by alterations of a number of areas of your face—your eyes, your nose, your chin, and your teeth. There are a number of surgical and noninvasive options that can be used to create or restore a more youthful and attractive appearance.
Cosmetic Dentists Create Beautiful Smiles!
Seattle Cosmetic Dentists can do an Extreme Makeover that can alter your bite, gums, and teeth to improve the overall look and beauty of your smile. The changes that they make also can help maintain healthy teeth and gums for life. The Seattle Cosmetic Dentist may use dental bonding or tooth colored fillings to restore the shape, size and appearance of your teeth. An Extreme Makeover can be accomplished with either porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns. Cosmetic tooth movement can be done on some teeth that are crooked or twisted. Gum surgery can be done with a laser to sculpt a more attractive interface between teeth and gums, which can give a more natural and beautiful look to your smile. Stained or darkened teeth can often be restored to beauty with simple tooth bleaching. These options and combinations of options can be used to accomplish a full-mouth reconstruction of your smile or minor alterations of some individual teeth, depending upon the level of change that you choose to have done.
Cynthia Pauley DDS and Patricia Pauley DDS are family and cosmetic dentists at Brookside Dental in Bellevue, WA, and are the winners of numerous awards for their community contributions and their dental work.
The Harley Street Smile Clinic believe the importance of an attractive smile should not be underestimated. A survey carried out by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) found that:
- More than 92% of adults agree that an attractive smile is an important social asset*
- Over 85% say they always remember someone with a really attractive smile*
- 85% agree that an unattractive smile makes a person less appealing to the opposite sex*
- Nearly 75% agree that an unattractive smile can hurt a persons chance for career success*
The percentages speak for themselves...

- Over 85% say they always remember someone with a really attractive smile*
- 85% agree that an unattractive smile makes a person less appealing to the opposite sex*
- Nearly 75% agree that an unattractive smile can hurt a persons chance for career success*
The percentages speak for themselves...
Having bad teeth can cause emotional stress
Having bad teeth is a not only a health problem but can also cause emotional stress. In today’s society only people with a perfect white smile are considered as attractive and successful. Earlier having the perfect smile was only obtainable for movie stars and celebrities who could afford paying the high prices.
Today most of the cosmetic dental procedures are relatively cheap. While a perfect smile makeover still costs a little fortune, there is no reason anymore why you shouldn’t fix a bad tooth quickly, without much pain and less cost.
Depending on your bad tooth/teeth you have several options. The most popular treatment is a simple teeth whitening which makes stained teeth white again. Today the bleaching process works very well and is safe. There are many different home bleaching sets which take you several days or weeks to get your teeth white. However, if you are not satisfied with the results or don’t like the hassles involved then it’s recommended to pay the higher price and get a 1 day power bleaching at your cosmetic dentist for best results.
Crooked teeth are the most common problem. Depending on how crooked they are you have different options. Slightly crooked teeth can be fixed instantly with porcelain veneers or composite resin veneers. The ultra thin veneers are directly attached to the surface of your tooth. A stronger crooked tooth will have to be shaped a little first. Veneers can be applied to all your teeth or just one. Gapped teeth can also be instantly fixed with veneers.
Really crooked teeth need to be aligned with aligners or braces. Aligners can fix slightly crooked teeth over time while braces are used when a stronger overall solution is needed. Today there are almost invisible braces which look much better then these metal braces we all hate. They are also much more comfortable to wear.
If the tooth is rotten and can’t be saved then you must remove it and replace it by an implant. There is a brand new implant technology which gives you a new tooth within just one treatment. Before getting implants took months with much pain involved. Today it’s much faster and less traumatic. After the CT scan unveiled the perfect point for the implant, the dentist uses a custom made prosthesis to drill with minimal invasion. You leave the chair with a new tooth in place.
A gummy smile is also a problem of many. No matter if you have perfect teeth, too much gum or an uneven gum line lets your teeth look short. Today the laser is the fix. Without pain the laser cuts the gum line within minutes.
There have been many advances the last years in cosmetic dentistry. There is no reason to have bad or unaesthetic teeth anymore.
